3hd Press: coucou chloé HALO EP release from the Creamcake/3hd label

3hd Press: coucou chloé HALO EP release, Oct 5 Lead single ‘skin like sin’ out September 28.

Berlin-based events organiser and label Creamcake is happy to announce their latest online release by London-based vocalist and producer coucou chloé’s HALO EP with lead single, ‘skin like sin’ out on September 28.

The French composer and vocalist, originally from Nice, is a visual artist by education, studying contemporary art at the Villa Arson in France before moving to where she is now based in London. Chloé currently runs a monthly program on Radio Paris Hotel and has collaborated with the likes of Egyptian producer 1127 and London-based artist Sega Bodega as the duo Y1640.

For her latest (and first) four-track HALO EP, chloé offers spine-tingling sensuality for the club night, undercut by a poisonous vein of menacing in songs like lead-single ‘skin like sin’. Like early soundcloud release ‘tears for fears’, coucou chloé’s crooked ballads offer romance without sentimentality. Wavy vocal pitch-shifting and contemplative simulated environments posit a moody new sense of emotional depth and frenetic passion for the future.

HALO is released by the 3hd/Creamcake label as part of the online and offline program for 3hd Festival, running IRL in Berlin between October 11 to 15.

coucou chloé is also performing 3hd Festival for a night of ‘Speculative Futurism’ at Berlin’s OHM on Wednesday, October 12. A lso performing on the night will be 食品まつり a.k.a FOODMAN, Hiele, Music For Your Plants, ssaliva, and Wilted Woman, within an expansive visual installation by artist Ink Agop.

3hd Festival is coordinated by Berlin-based event organisers and label Creamcake, previously releasing EPs by the likes of Keiska, SKY H1, and 333 Boyz online as part of its program. This is the second edition of the annual festival.
