Subheadline

Placement Produit is an artist-run-space launched by Eliott Paquet in February 2019. It is both an artist studio and an exhibition space located at 60 rue de la Commune de Paris in Aubervilliers - an apart- ment completing the structure. In a dynamic of re-territorialization, Placement Produit is proud to welcome for the third season a cycle of solo shows of artists living and working around the space in Aubervilliers. It starts on march, Thursday the 5th with Rose Button by Romain Vicari.

Romain Vicari’s work revolves around the concepts of space and architecture. Inspired by construction materials, matters, and scales, Vicari’s work links and sublimes the conflictual relation between body and space, private and public. This reflexion was born at the artist’s workshop as well as on the streets, public places or abandoned sites, which are often invaded by anarchic vegetation. Ro- main’s analysis of the spaces is almost scientific, his work transcribes both botanic and anthropology related themes. Romain’s production is an ephemeral laboratory of research. The physical proximity of the transformed space in tension with a hybrid element formed by Romain’s tropical/urban modernity. PP
