The exhibition arises from an investigation carried out in Mexico where the artist studied the use of glove puppets used to "teach" norms of behavior to the indigenous people of Chiapas in 1961. De Levie appropriates and reconstructs the work "Petul and the foreign devil" (written by Rosario Castellanos) that narrates the (unfortunate) encounter between an indigenous person and a foreigner to explore, in an absurd and grotesque way, an animistic form of being in the world and diverse forms of relating to Others (people, things, materials).
