Failure, our common heritage. Only the things that did not become, or decided to not become, were able to persist. Those that arrived, got exhausted; those that concluded, got exhausted; the victorious ones got exhausted.
Today we float on the water like dead skin. We scratch ourselves with fury so that promises are not fulfilled, we scratch ourselves to try to prolong the last instant previous to a final form, the last instant where everything is still possible.
And after that? We will let ourselves be worn-out by your soles, or we will melt together in a big pan. Heat cycle. You can always fail again, it’s never too late.
In the last years, Víctor Santamarina has been focused in the intermediate stages of the sculpture processes. The openness of these formatives moments help him to explore and articulate his surrounding, his practice and himself.

Estudio Jardín is an expositive project and a residency space place in Madrid. The line of the project aims at establishing dialogs between artistic practices and a constantly shifting surrounding.
