Discarded Togo sofa (Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset; 1973, found in the streets by Jan Fack) Borrowed PVC curtain (a second one was purchased and will be returned after the exhibition) Probiotic infused garments (designed and produced by textile chemist Rosie Broadhead)  Sound installation (voice: Céline Mathieu; music: Levi Lanser)  Potato starch in kneading bag and on windowsill Dille in radiator scenting the space Josefin Granqvist (mere presence at the opening) Exhibition text as sound ‘leaking’ from a TV in the bathroom     Artist biography: In various media, Céline Mathieu mingles linguistic and bodily sensibilities with an element of play. Often executed in temporary solid materials (from performance to plasticine sculptures and printed matter), she is interested in what can not quite be pinpointed. Fluid modes of production (hypnosis), appropriations from what could be categorised as “light medicine”, the work is at once conceptual and sensory. Changing states of being and a feeling of ‘falling away’ wire through all the pieces. The context in which the work is shown strongly directs her practice, which is emphasised by the way elements of display and textual components of the exhibition are incorporated as cohesive parts of the work. Céline is half of CMMC, a performance duo with Myrthe Christianne van der Mark.   Céline Mathieu has presented her work at Kunsthal Extra City, M HKA Antwerp Lodgers (CMMC), MuZee Ostend, Publiek Park: S.M.A.K. and 019, IKOB Eupen (CMMC) Corridor Amsterdam, Cité Internationale des Arts Paris, CLAPTRAP Antwerp, Gr_und Berlin, Lebensmittel Berlin, Antwerp Art Weekend, Berlin Art Week (CMMC), New York Fashion Week, Vooruit Gent (Self Luminous Society), La Virreina Barcelona, AAIR Antwerp. Her writing on art was published by Arts of the Working Class, Conceptual Fine Arts, VICE, Art Viewer, O Fluxo, and her first novella came out on Entr'acte.   She was part of artist programmes at ABA AIR Berlin Alexanderplatz (CMMC), Rupert, Kunsthuis SYB, AAIR Antwerp and BAR Barcelona, after finishing her Advanced Master in Research in Art and Design. http://celinemathieu.be
