What do art criticism and gossip have in common? In their Instagram Reels, The Gossipers (Sunny Pudert and Shirin Barthel) use fragments of what is heard and said, in order to talk about art events taking place at M.1 in Hohenlockstedt. Their Hohenlockstedt Edition accompanies the GOSSIP project cycle curated by Agnieszka Roguski. Dialogue-like, in filter aesthetics, and edited with effects, the clips reflect the programme without asserting a supposedly objective, distanced perspective. On the contrary, The Gossipers’ Reel Report is viral, trivial, and embedded in a network of red-hot hints and speculations. A media partnership with KubaParis––magazine for young art.
