Subheadline

Harvest (Big data) The show contains the analog and digital side of the subject Harvest. Inspired by Jing's memory at the 'Temple of Heaven' located in Peking, Jing created a velour marble triptych (Temple of memories,2021) combining her memory in a mix of gathered data by other individuals. The personal memory gets hereby consumed by the digital overflow of momentum photo's. "We measure everything in fear of losing memory and deny the fact that our memory could also be blurry and distanced."-Jing Zhang The Duality of it all is represented in a diptych by Julie De Kezel. On the right you see a virtual video (Entr the realm,2021) depicting a dancing figure in an alpine-like landscape, It represents her 'digital-twin' put together by imaginary datafarming. On the left you see a hand made green faux-fur jacket (Herfsttijloos/Herbstzeitlose, 2021) It is made to enter the green landscapes for an immersive experience to harvest nuts and trinkets roaming around in the forests. The described pieces are presented in an immersive installation combining the smell of the hay covered flour, green light, draped chains, salt-dough creatures by Julie de Kezel, Branches emerging from the walls and butterfly's by Jing Zhang resting in different corners of the room. The Duo show is located in the Project space At base gallery, put together by Eres-stiftung and Peter Kogler.
