Text

A delta is primarily formed by sedimentary deposits where the sea and river meet. The changing shape of the delta shifts as sediments steadily accumulate and are washed away. We stay for a while and observe how emerging and disappearing material co-exists, and the cycle repeats itself. In FLUID GROUNDS, the search for remaining traces and clues becomes part of the artistic exploration and creates an interdisciplinary exhibition space. In this process, the artists use media such as sculpture, installation, video, photography and sound in order to symbolically process the changes in nature caused by humans and their allegorical meaning.
