Text

Surfaces - whether earth crust or skin pores - only sparsely outline the anatomy of a deeper reaching system. From the mining of minerals to the final product, production chains often remain non-transparent and hardly traceable for the user. The company “Miyou” advertises the production of minerals from customer body extracts, their data and a range of self-care products. The intention of the company is not only to give something back to nature. Madeleine Palm and Laura Levin create an associative network in which the body acts as a consumer, resource, worker and product. A paradoxical fusion of production chains and extractivism.
