Vapy styles and fresh tunes: DISCO ISLAM offers you a 360-degree immersive installation experience. Dive into the world of Bijan Moosavi, the freshest, most creative and innovative entrepreneur since Elon Musk and Neil Armstrong. Markets on the moon? Why think so far. Even on this planet, not every market in every region seems to be fully developed yet. Don't invest in dreams. Invest here. Invest in Iran. Jump on the wave of techno-capitalism and let yourself drift. With the parties of Disco Islam, everything is attainable. Not just you love life. The people in Tehran do too. Forget the times of war, forget the mismanagement. The unlimited possibilities lie at the bottom of the Urmia Salt Lake. Good if it dries up due to climate change and now provides the place for the best and most crazy club on earth. Disco Islam, an architectural masterpiece in the tradition of the Azadi Tower (Peace Tower) encompasses all aspects. Politics, social issues, art, nature, markets - and all in one party. It is precisely this combination that can show what can be achieved with New Work and start-ups. Bijan Moosavi links everything into one big web, making Iran's connection to western hypercapitalism possible in the first place. Freedom lies in consumption, the brand becomes a religion. New gods complement the old ones. Religious symbolics, such as the chamsa, the hand of the prophet, can certainly be extended by logos of, for example, Google or McDonalds. More out-of-the-box thinking - dare to make more connections. Iran is more than just negative headlines on Spiegel Online. A lively art scene, high educational standards, and fashion. The old days are over, never look back. Theocratic republic is the next big thing. Peace and religion were fought for. Peace and religion now reign in Iran. With positive statements, soon there will be more start-ups, more advertising, more consumption, more EVERYTHING. For some it may look more like a fancy advertising clip, but this piece sparkles with creativity. Circles are painted on walls in Berlin start-ups, a new Facebook algorithm is presented in Silicon Valley - boring. Disco Islam is the future: Future Islam. Where others speak of dystopia, Bijan Moosavi shows the neoliberal utopia. You think the Western labour market is too lame? Don't invest in SPACS, which will never exist anyway. Don't invest in depressed clickworkers. Invest in Disco Islam. Bijan Moosavi's work Disco Islam (2020) paints a picture of Iran as a commercial clip. In the 20-minute video full of vaporwave aesthetics, CGI, live-action and music he takes us through various political, historical and cultural topics and opens up a mind game about what it would look like if countries wanted to become trends. Where might that lead? What are the visions? The answer is presented in start-up-speak. A party - a club that solves all problems, if only enough is invested, if this region is connected to the European market. With this simplification, he shows the absurdities of Western problem-solving strategies: capitalism would make of everything better.
