The presentation features a series of small formats, new works made especially by Tatiana Defraine and Lauren Coullard. The works are displayed in-line close to one another. The display resonates like an anadiplosis, a rhetorical device involving the repetition of the last word of a preceding clause. The sequence of paintings becomes a poem or a lullaby where each work generates a certain rhythm, forming a new hybrid entity.
This rainbow hanging may be seen as a single piece.
The artists perform directly to the walls, while some works were drawn and others painted during the exhibition in order to replace some phantom paintings.
