Subheadline

In the dressing room of our studio sets of works has been changed for others. Heaps of discarded trials has gathered in the corners, things organised in sections of what-to-keeps, maybes and definitive no-no’s.  The dressing room is an intimate room, where uncertainties and flaws are shared under brightly lit lights. Secrets exchanged and friendships forged. We’re happy to invite you in, to see what took place behind the curtains and what was nearly forgotten on the racks. Kaare Ruud (b. 1993) works with objects, spaces and text. Ruud works and lives in Oslo where he graduated with an MFA from the Art Academy of Oslo in 2020. He’s shown solo presentations at The Norwegian Sculptor Society (Oslo, 2021 & 2020), Løvens Hule (Oslo, 2019), and Low Standards (Oslo,2018), amongst others. Ruud has also been included in group exhibitions at STANDARD (Oslo, 2021), Hulias (Oslo, 2020), QB Gallery (Oslo, 2020), and participated in the travelling group show curated by Elise By Olsen - Vestlandsutstillingen (2020). In 2021 and 2022 his works will be presented at Geiten (NO), Toll (SE), Hulias (NO) and Sol Nexø (DK). Camilla Edström Ödemark (born 1985, Åland) lives and works in Oslo. She was graduated from Konstfack in Stockholm (BFA 2014) and Kunstakademiet in Oslo (MFA 2020). Edström Ödemark’s works have recently been presented at BOA (2021), Bærum Kunsthalle (2021), Norsk Billedhoggerforening (2020), OK Corral (2020), Galleri Sinne (2019), Høstutstillingen (2019) and Galleri 54 (2019). In 2022 her work will be shown at Lansmuseet Gavleborg (SE), Meken Kunsthalle (SE) and Sculptor (FI) etc. Kunstnernes Hus is an art institution in the centre of Oslo. Established by artists in 1930 to show both Norwegian and international art, it has since then become the most important independent institution in Norway led by artists, specifically dedicated to contemporary art.  www.kaareruud.com www.edstromodemark.com www.kunstnerneshus.com
