Text

Cumulus is happy to announce a pre-christmas group exhibition taking place in his headquarters. Articulated around the idea of standing sculptures, the exhibition will take shape as a gathering of various entities, inviting individual and disparate works to act as a unified group of specimens. Through the formal constrain of verticality, the show will explore anthropomorphism, pedestal and display devices as social and political gestures, processes of legitimity and contestation. Therefore the exhibition will embody the act of gathering as a gesture of protest and a commitment against individualism within periods where the least public meeting could appear to be considered as suspect and forbidden while as only well considered places of sharing and exchanges remain the hyperspace of virtual world and social medias. The exhibition will open every week-end or on appointment.
