Text

"Ich bin durchsichtig andere Leute sehen mich nicht" Is a collaborative group exhibition put together and curated by Carlotta Stolberg. The handmade, transparent pvc bags have escaped from her and taken on a life of their own. Each one is its own character and embodies an independent narrative taught to them by Janke Beau, Simon Marsiglia, Rebecka Hultman, William Becker, Giovanni Salice, Carl Johan Jacobsen and Chloe Sarpelkine. The bags that were scattered all over the world had to be found again and locked in a room. Some found their way back quite quickly, and a few others still tried to escape even within these four walls. Janek's bag, for example, wanted to get as far away as possible, it set off on a long journey and escaped into the desert, where it slept under a clear sky and one stormy evening was struck by lightning and turned into lightning glass. Rebecka Hultman's bag developed a great fascination for fairy tales and thought she could escape from her high tower like Rapunzel, let her hair grow so long that she could let herself down by it, but in the attempt to escape she took a fatal fall.
