MANA is a hybrid exhibition concept that takes place both virtually and physically. By linking two exhibition worlds, MANA blurs the boundaries between virtual and physical space, thus questioning reality. Ten artists will explore the tension between reality, fiction, and dimension, showing one physical and one virtual work each. The artistic positions will not be the same in physical and virtual space, but will expand, complement, answer and complete each other.
After the physical part was on view from November to December 2021 in the basement halls of the VerpackereiGö in Görisried, the Galerie der Künstler presented the hybrid exhibition in Munich in March 2022. There, the ten young Munich artists show large-scale video projections, sound installations as well as space-consuming objects. The fusion of the two worlds is made possible by an immersive experience in the virtual exhibition. VR glasses transport the viewer into the futuristic church HOLY PLAZA, a fictitious building project by the Munich-based architecture firm Studio Paradiso that offers a space for digital art.
