In this year’s November I went to Los Angeles for a month to develope my
latest project called “Pooland“. My plan was to draw the pools in Hollywood
hills, but nobody let me in. I sent an email to David Hockney, if I could draw
his pool, but he never replied.
Despite my small failure I started to draw empty pools, skatepools and poor
people from Venice beach, Echo Park district, where I lived, and some stories
about the road to Las Vegas.
Back in Germany, I put all the works I made in the States to the car and drove to
Szczecin in Poland. Few days later the exhibition was ready.
