(Lidé jsou křehké bytosti, ale měkké cíle)
Softness and fragility can be seen as synonyms to textile techniques. An important starting point of the exhibition is the anchoring of the archetypal understanding of the medium of textiles as a shared ritual. There are frequent references to the alteration of consciousness caused by repetitive monotonous acts. Equally important for artists working in the medium of textiles is the question of how far technology determines the conception and final form of an artwork. Some works do not neglect the enrichment of the site-specific aspect. Other artists work with textile materials in a radical, innovative way within the traditionally understood techniques or deal with metaphors of looms and computers or the conception of the basic principle of a given technique (felting, weaving, dreaming). Building on the artists' work emerging from the open call, the exhibition interweaves themes within the medium of textiles that have emerged as topical. The exhibition also includes a collaboration with the Artbiom platform. In its part, the latter reflects on the connection between ecological approaches, collective projects and the medium of textiles.
