REMIX 1

Emde Gallers is very pleased to present the summer group exhibition REMIX on the occasion of Emde Gallery's third anniversary. The exhibition will be on view from July 7th in the gallery's space in Mainz's Neustadt district. This is where the opening exhibition "Erstbegehung / First Ascent" took place on 26 June 2020, a group exhibition with seven artists with which the Emde Gallery first established its name within the Rhine-Main art scene. Since then, the gallery has held regular solo and group exhibitions of significant artistic positions whose work deals with important contemporary issues and provides insights into current art discourses. The anniversary exhibition presents selected highlights of the last three years as well as some new works that have never been shown before. The selection of works shown by the artists does not follow a specific thematic focus, yet the works presented enter into dialogue with each other and also offer insights into different creative phases of the artists. The exhibition is divided into two parts: REMIX 1 will be on view from 7th to 10th of August, REMIX 2 from the 8th to 30th of September (with a summer break from 1st to 30th of August). REMIX 1 presents a selection of works by seven artists from the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, (airbrush) drawing and ceramics: Götz Diergarten, Lukas Gartiser, Vincent Kück, Theresa Lawrenz, Poppy Luley, Lena Mai Merle and Florian Witt.
