In its project space "Park" Britta Rettberg presents new works by Patrick Ostrowsky (*1991 Schwandorf, lives/works
in Munich/Basel). Ostrowsky explores the transfer of structures of urban life and strategies of temporary
architecture to sculpture. For "A Home" he shows a sculptural intervention that understands the exhibition space
as a whole as material. Ostrowsky's new group of works addresses issues of perception and representation, the
notion of inside and outside, and references the domestic world and the concept of the homely. Found objects
are balanced with ceramic objects and sculptures to create an intense atmosphere. Set pieces built in a DIY
process from inhabited spaces that create their own architectural situations are combined with a series of
"blind" plastic windows that have lost their function as an opening to the outside world and become strangely
enraptured objects. In their series they function as a symbol for the process of image-making as a succession of
aberrations and new beginnings, as an endless process of 'searching'.
