Sentinella, quanto resta della notte?

The works of Matteo Lisanti and Chiara Mecenero dialogue with each other around the concept of control in relation to space. Lisanti, through the medium of sound, investigates the relationship between body and its surroundings, presence and absence, sound and silence, exploring both surveillance and the need to escape from it. Mecenero, through her sculptural practice, reflects on the dual figure of the dog, an instrument of surveillance yet subject to its master. The works of the two artists become each other's extension and answer, and generate a panoptic and suspended environment, awaiting, like a long night in which one can no longer distinguish the victim from the persecutor.
