The group exhibition Unseen Reconstructions presents site-specific installations, videos, and conceptual works, born from a journey between geographical places and intimate landscapes. Yumna Al-Arashi, Robin Bervini, Vladimir Milje- vić and Gabriele Spalluto propose, through their artistic research, the reflection of their human experiences.
Coming from different paths, their works find a point of contact within the reflections on gender, identity, and ethnicity. The reflections offered in the exhibition cross different places, referring to family, geographical, and geopolitical themes. The metaphorical movement running through their works is that of watercourses of the Maggia River, in particular in the site-specific works. A seemingly unstoppable flow, which trespasses and mixes reflections on the construction of identity – also towards concepts of non-place and political and environmental issues. With this exhibition in the spaces of La Rada, the audience will have the opportunity to come into contact with narratives that are largely absent from the media and art scene in Ticino.
