If the internet is a modern version of a novel, the multiplicity of narratives has the quality of paranoid scribbling. Dopaminergic psychosis, pareidolia, in which everything fits together and the same patterns are obsessively replicated on the wallpapers. Billions of intrusive thoughts invade the safe space of four walls. In this never-ending story, Emma Bovary incarnates schizoposters from the fringes of Online Exarchate, such as Christina Chandler and Paulina Kracewicz — all the creeps, queers, aliens, and doomers whose behavior is both intriguing and unacceptable. Modern Madame Bovarys still feed on delusions, but they have replaced 19th-century romances with Pokemon and Dungeons & Dragons. They constantly evoke conflicting emotions: compassion, embarrassment, and frustration. They post bizarre content and conspiracy theories, but their non-normative behavior has the potence of a trickster act of resistance. They irritatingly cross boundaries and are at the same time subjected to long-term harassment. They behave clumsily and unprofessionally, but for opportunists they are a walking sense of guilt. Make no mistake, Kraina Online is a world of darkness, no different from the rest of reality. We don't decide whether someone is punished because of his toxic behavior, or whether blaming him is an excuse to blame the victim. Why not both? We know from our own experience what the process looks like. At first, you hope it's paranoia. That it's just your imagination, or that the aggressors are joking. You try to laugh and please. Your desperate actions only increase persecution. You feel increasingly isolated and you start to react violently and cringy. You seem pathetic and frivolous, the bullies appear as people with power, attractive and desirable, and at the same time they gain another argument to confirm their unwavering right - you lost in the neoliberal ranking. Exclusion, experienced by almost everyone, causes a profound sense of humiliation that will be remembered throughout life. Then, it easy for a breakdown to occur, problems to deepen, and an inadequate sense of the party loner’s uniqueness. You screw up weird things in your head and there's always a troll who finds it funny to fuel your paranoia. He replies ‘I am living in your walls’ when you ask him to stop. Currently this meme slogan is rather humorous, but still laced with anxiety. It captures the essence of a mockery and the feeling of being cornered.
