Kaiserwache is pleased to announce its participation in this year's Artist Market at Basel Social
Club. From June 9th to 16th, 2024, we will showcase works by ten artists.
Basel Social Club (BSC), a non-profit organization founded by a collective of dedicated art
professionals in Basel in spring 2022, aims to create social spaces for art that are open to all and free
of charge. The 2024 edition takes place on agricultural land behind the residential area of
Bruderholz during Art Basel week, offering an alternative art fair experience. This year's program
includes an exhibition featuring local and international artists, performances, and a diverse culinary
offering. Artistic interventions will be positioned across fields, barns, and trees, focusing on this
year's ecological theme. Landscape, agriculture, and farm animals are central to the event, with the
farmers hosting BSC actively participating, providing a unique opportunity to experience art in a
new context.
Kaiserwache’s presentation focuses on art prints specially produced for the Artist Market at BSC.
Additionally, sculptural works by Virginie Sistek and Paul Ahl will be featured. You can find us at
Mathis Hof, where fruit stands have been repurposed for artistic displays. The print editions are
presented stacked in flat boxes, highlighting the common format (A4) of all prints.
