Mollo welcome the Jacent duo, made up of Jade Fourès-Varnier and Vincent de Hoÿm (born 1984, Narbonne, Paris. Live and work in Paris), who like to interweave art and domestic life. Their multi-disciplinary installations are developed on the scale of the home, with the public even invited to take possession of their installations during meetings, exhibitions and exhibitions.
their installations at meetings, meals and other gatherings. The duo are very attached to the context, adapting their proposals to the places where they are received, and through their creations they make conviviality their keystone. One example is Tonus, a run-space in Paris founded and run by the duo since 2014, where guest artists perpetuate this welcoming spirit.
In this exhibition, Jacent's works, charged with narratives, intimacy and the collective, enter into a relationship with Alain Roux's photographs of couples, silhouettes and looks from the 90s.
It is hosting an exhibition entitled La Complicité. It is part of the Frac's residency in Douarnenez.
In 1991, Alain Roux embarked on a personal project
in black and white, giving a fictional dimension to the most banal sights. Little stories emerge from these everyday elements that we no longer bother to look at
they blend into the landscape. In 1999, the photographer produced a series with an equivocal title, D'eux, suggesting duel, pair and otherness. These duos, with their typical 1990s looks, bear witness to a bygone era, unburdened by social networks. The format could be that of a screen, showing possible scenes of actors and actresses rehearsing on the set of a film. The image plays with ambiguity, between realism and fiction, expectation and denouement.
Mollo is a space for work, meetings and exhibitions in Douarnenez. Founded by artist Renaud Perriches and graphic designer Delhia Dondain, Mollo opens its doors from time to time to showcase contemporary artistic practices.
