explications
Drawing on the similarities between fast food and the interiors of kebab shops, which are often decorated with flames, the exhibition explores the fleeting nature of events and the temporary existence of the Salon Krasoty project itself. Through the phenomenon of phonetic localization in street food — where in St. Petersburg, «shawarma» takes on the unique local name «shaverma» — the project opens up a conversation about the specifics of the local art scene and its cultural nuances.
