The exhibition project Days, Months, Years by Olga Krykun for Gallery NoD builds on themes explored in the artist's previous series E-girl Melancholia (2021) and Forget-me-nots (2022–2023), combining personal experiences with deeper sociopolitical reflections (primarily tied to the intimate personal experience of the war in Ukraine). The artist presents a new series of works that further delve into the specific life experiences of her generation, characterized by the search for and exploration of new forms of existence and ways of relating to the world on the edge of the digital revolution. In her works, Olga Krykun balances between offline and online environments, seeking something meaningful and authentic at their intersection. With ease, she blends elements of pagan or East Slavic mythology and ritual practices, which speak to shared values and cultural identity on a deeper level, with symbols and products of popular culture and digital communication technologies.
