Liao Wen: Trust Fall

MACA will present Trust Fall, the first institutional solo exhibition by artist Liao Wen, on view from March 22 through June 15, 2025. Featuring her new sculptures and a site-specific installation, Trust Fall explores the complex dynamics of friction and fusion between fluid identities and social systems. In the exhibition space, sculptures become obstacles and interactive structures, while urban interventions create a temporary order and necessitate public participation. Trust Fall continues Liao Wen's ongoing investigation into the theme of "liminality," examining how the body at a threshold navigates tensions between crisis and trust, harm and protection.
