The scent of the tree That each spring gave us strange flowers The smell of the shore, salty with sea spray And the hours spent sitting, Alone on the slab by the water Watching the night take over the evening Tell me, whose house is this? Who are these people Still laughing Inside? Its threshold feels familiar But its shadows lie And their empty eyes swear we’ve met before Tell me, Whose house is this? And why does its lock Fit my key? Featuring the works of seventeen artists from Marseille, across France, and from abroad, the exhibition took place in a large house in the Malmousque neighborhood, overlooking the sea. Because an old house always tells stories, the exhibition was built around a narrative-based curatorial approach, allowing visitors to wander through the spaces of the house as though they were moving through a spatially unfolding fiction. Fragments of a short story welcomed guests from the threshold and accompanied them throughout their exploration of the property. Communications: Lise Weber With the support of Culturing Company
