Muschelblume und Blei

Stretching along the River Erft for around 50 kilometres, the exhibition Muschelblume und Blei showcases artistic works by 16 international artists and collectives, exploring themes such as landscape and agriculture, extractivism, cohabitation, the passage of time and the seasons, as well as questions regarding our perception of our surroundings, the fine line between fact and fiction, and migration and home. In this way, the exhibition creates a multifaceted context for reflecting on what we call landscape. The installations by Max Leiß (Euskirchen), Unofficial Hiking Society AG (Erftstadt), Kriz Olbricht (Erftstadt/Kerpen/Bergheim), Sanna Reitz (Bergheim), Ramòn Graefenstein (Bergheim/Bedburg) and Anna Schütten (Grevenbroich) will be on display from 27 June to 19 September 26 in the towns along the River Erft. Over the course of five events, visitors can experience films by Ghita Skali, Jonas Brinker, Lynne Gbodjrou Kouassi & Daniel Vollmond, Jonathan Steiger and Eline Kersten, as well as performances and concerts by Tanja Kodlin, Marie Donike & Johannes Specks, Nathalie Brum, Franziska Windisch and Yasmeen Al-Qaisi. The exhibition is funded by the Stiftung Kunstfonds and the Kunststiftung NRW.
