Nurgül Dursun, Conrad Hübbe, Soyon Jung, Jaewon Kim Reflections on images, motifs, time, and the transition between the physical and the virtual map the space in which the artists' works encounter each other. The focus is on materialization in a transitional process between the analog and the digital.

Text

We live in times of transition - the transition from the analog to the digital, the overpowering virtual. In this time of change, new and old media are converging. The four artists gathered here work with digital and analog processes. The emphasis lies on materialization - whether it is looking back, looking ahead, or simultaneity in image synthesis, a transformation occurs. The exhibition „Transitions" poses the question of the distillation of thoughts and comments regarding our present, past, and future. Through references and cross-references, through juxtapositions and abstraction, the genres in which the artists work are questioned and boundaries are blurred.
