In the age of modern capitalism, gold is still unevenly distributed. High demand and relatively limited resources of gold - about 8 Olympic swimming pools for the whole world - make it an unaffordable good for many. The question of how to make access to gold more democratic and the ways in which gold can be mined by the individual has been around for millennia. Artist Rada Bukova and curator Vera Mlechevska explored different methods of finding gold, and procedures for extracting it in domestic settings, and empirically tested how gold differs in natural environments. The result of this effort can be seen in Punta Gallery at Dunav 13.
