ak contemporary is pleased to present The House of the Mole, a duo exhibition by Wolfgang Voegele (* 1983) and Kiko Pérez (* 1982). The artists have been in a regular exchange for several years. In The House of the Mole, their works can be seen together for the first time.
At this moment, therefore, the two artists meet not only on the formal level, but also at their point of departure, which incorporates fragments of reality and could have been inspirational for the title of the exhibition. The House of the Mole–the interior of a molehill or structure–is invisible from the outside, almost inconceivable to human viewers. Yet it branches out subterraneously in manifold ways, constantly opening up new cross-connections and ultimately infinite variations of form...
