The pop-up exhibition "Prelomleniye" took place on the territory of the Crystal Factory in the city of Gus-Khrustalny, Russia. This city is known for its crystal production, with a history dating back to the 18th century. Currently, the city is experiencing a population decline, gradually fading away. However, the crystal factory continues its work, striving to revive its former glory.
Crystal service, locked in a sideboard, awaiting the occasion like a fragile city frozen in anticipation of an awakening impulse. For the "Prelomleniye" exhibition, artists have prepared works that evoke memories of a celebration filled with the sound of crystal glasses, light refracted in the facets of glass, as well as the feeling of a pre-holiday moment, frozen and stretched in time.
