Shells possess their own unique ways of shielding their interiors from external threats. In Protective Shell, the space transforms into a living organism, complete with its own protective systems. The sculptures become encounters, allowing the imagination to shape future bodies into hybrid forms. As I walk, I search for otherworldly traces in my surroundings. Curiosity is central to my artistic practice, leading me to uncover new materials and unearth unknown forms. The palm tree heel is a particular fascination of mine—it evokes bone-like structures and can often be found around the city, a natural, freely available resource. I take these found materials and transform them with machines, which leave their own marks on the organic matter. Through industrial-inspired processes, these sculptures evolve, becoming increasingly hybridized. Observation, experimentation, and transformation are fundamental to my understanding of sculpture and material. The material itself carries properties and potential that can only be revealed through experimentation. It is not just a vessel for an idea, but a carrier of meaning in its own right.
