Robert Seidel: Eulogy for Rainbow Unicorn
Berlin-based artist Anna Niedhart’s multidisciplinary practice interrogates the psychological complexities inherent in our digital age through painting, drawing, and object making. Her work, distilled from acute personal observations, manifests as hybrid forms that challenge the boundaries between human and animal. These chimeric beings serve as potent metaphors for the fractured sense of self and the adaptive strategies required in our rapidly evolving world.
Herma Auguste Wittstock, former student of Marina Abramovic presents a three pieces performance during Sellerie Weekend.
Wittstock’s works are based on performance art, mostly live performances or living installations, but as well she works at video- and film performances and performative paintings. Wittstock has exhibited at Biennale Helsinki, National Museum Reina SofĂa Madrid, Le GĂ©nĂ©rateur Paris, Theatre Works Singapore, Biennale di Venezia, Ex Teresa Arte Actual MĂ©xico, X-Space Toronto, Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam, PAC Milan, P.S.1 New York, Fridericianum Kassel, Kunst-Werke Berlin and Irish Museum of Modern Art Dublin.
About her art Wittstock says that people, things and spaces have an inner logic. Every situation can be a performance, as well as she is a performance herself. Everything may be art or can become art. Wittstock tries to simplify everyday life and puts it into a new context. She’s playing with the context between time and concentration. She explores the audience’s and her own limits – between strength and pain. For Wittstock it is important to use the energy of her performance and to pass these energy to the audience. The space her piece is taking place is often as an important part of the performance included in her works.

Friday, 2 May, 6—8pm
Megalomiania (Größenwahn)
An exaggerated, unfounded sense of importance and talent is intertwined with inner fragility. The performance explores fantasies of limitless achievements, influence, power, intelligence, beauty, and perfect love.
Saturday, 3 May, 4—5pm
Cleansing (FrĂĽhjahrsputz)
a traditional ritual, serves to let go of thoughts, emotions, and worldly events — to bid farewell to superficiality, decadence, haste, and pain. Cleansing the soul can happen through mindfulness, meditation, movement, and relaxation. It may also mean recognizing and resolving emotional burdens.
Sunday, 4 May, 4—5pm
No Worries No Regrets
I would like to offer a toast — to all the excuses and worries, to all the sorrows and regrets,
to all the doubts and fears. Cheers! I am not afraid, I mourn nothing, and I have no excuse not to act.
