Innesto 1 is a collaborative exhibition by Palazzo Monti and The Address gallery, presented at Fertile, showcasing new, unpublished works by Anna Ruth and Davide Dicorato. Taking its name from the botanical practice of grafting, the fusion of different organisms to create new vitality, the exhibition similarly brings together two distinct artistic worlds. Through their works, Anna Ruth and Davide Dicorato cultivate a space that spans the tangible and the conceptual. Davide Dicorato’s practice transforms found objects and artifacts through installation, decontextualizing and re-contextualizing them to provoke reflections on existence and its potential for metamorphosis Anna Ruth, balancing figuration and abstraction, immerses us in a primordial environment—nature as seen through the imagined eyes of the first humans. Rooted in her personal mythology, her work evokes a mysterious, timeless territory where fantasy and symbol coalesce. Together, their works resonate in a shared “graft”: each piece contributes to a hybrid ecosystem, exploring the boundaries between lived reality and poetic abstraction. Anna Ruth (Prague, Czech Republic, 1995) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. She has had recent solo exhibitions at Pragovka, Prague, Czech Republic; Zaazrak Dornych, Brno, Czech Republic; Karpuchina, Prague; as well as a solo booth at NADA New York as presented by IRL Gallery. Ruth has been featured in group exhibitions at The Address, Brescia, Italy; 10n Gallery, Brussels, Belgium; Sarah Kravitz Gallery, London, UK; and Bold Gallery, Prague; among others. Davide Dicorato (Milan, 1991) lives and works in Milan, Italy. Over the years, his work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions across Europe. In 2022, they participated in E Luce f, la materia illuminata at Dueunodue by Avanguardie Verdi in Bologna, Who Killed Bambi? at Nuovo Spazio di Casso al Vajont, curated by Dolomiti Contemporanee.
