Swarming Tongues

Project Info

The exhibition centres itself around the medicalisation of feeling, anxieties of late-stage capitalism, the decay of intimate connections, and the search for survival strategies in the environment of emotional excess. Compressed, repeatedly stretched, and forcefully shaped fondant refers to the body as a space of exhaustion and simultaneously rebellion, in which nihilist hope does not mean belief in a brighter future but endured survival despite decay. This shared reading of vulnerability creates a community of mutual pain and offers collective resilience through the acceptance of systemic collapse. The discordant frequencies multiply, and our oscillating tongues together form a swarm of resistance.
