Mineralwasser and psychic Narrations
an exhibition drama in three acts, starring:
Charlotte Houette, Yannic Joray, Philipp Schwalb
November 30, 2025 to February 7, 2026
Kunstraum Kreuzlingen
A. Foreword:
We are delighted to end the gardening year and begin our anniversary year with
this play. We are turning 40, and it all began in the old Bellevue. The beautiful
view, the sick face, the orientation reveals itself, mingling like a poem of leaves.
The vegetable patch welcomes the foliage carpet; exhausted on the ground,
both wait for a snow cover. Snails and digging into stories connect the paths of
fifigurations, actions and scenes. The heterogeneity of polycentric storytelling
weaves a web. Exhibition, theatre of transition. Each act acts between: prophecy
and lecture, transmission and effervescence, paragon and preface.
B. Roles:
At openings, he likes to open bottles of mineral water, hiding his fear of small
talk, money and the public behind gestures of hospitality that he offers
with sincerity. She stands next to him, straightening up, tilting her head, seeing
the word appear opposite her, reading the room and following the call of
things, gently:
1. Cobalt, also Kobold or Co, sometimes blue, sometimes charged.
2. Alice Sheldon, also James Tiptree Jr. 1917–1985, sci-fifi author, CIA.
3. John Hays Hammond Jr., 1888–1965, inventor, radio control.
4. Aby Warburg, 1923–1924 in Kreuzlingen, a Zeppelin over Japan’s coast.
C. The Drama:
Psychics can see into the future, use ESP, speak to each other in mental language,
communicate in images, inflfluence thoughts and feelings, make objects flfloat, direct
and control the ether and create psychedelic batteries.
I. Yannic Joray’s Akt is set on the American East Coast after World War II,
and on the threshold between neo-Gothic ecstasy and technological hunger.
An Organ plays intensely while experiments take place in a Faraday Cage.
II. Charlotte Houette’s Akt takes place between the USA and France, with
texts/images translated, information exchanged, and psychological patterns
painted and imprinted. The Illusion of seeing; in space; on tracks, cracks.
III. Philipp Schwalb’s Akt entangles four storylines in the synchronicity
of painted time: Kobalt’s Way, Octavia Butler’s Books, family-stories,
painting’s breath/arguments.

Is seeing as natural an act as reading? Do they share narratives?!
