Angela Anzi (CH) works at the intersection of sound, performance, video, and sculpture. Through her installations and objects—where she combines classical sculptural aspects of ceramics with everyday materials—she deliberately unsettles habitual modes of perception. She is interested in sculptural bodies in their material presence, but also as resonant bodies, and in relation to their cultural and gendered connotations. In this sense, she understands her artistic practice as a fluid process of critical reflection. Concrete sculptural material is interwoven with narratives from different sources, whereby established frameworks of meaning are disrupted and transformed. In her solo exhibition at the Marburger Kunstverein, she presents a series of installations, including "Poisonous Potentials", alongside works such as "Chanted Water", "Medusa’s Laughter", and "Ventilation", which explore the interplay of sound, female-coded voice, material, and processes of transformation.
